As part of The Mixolos Mitchtape Live in Montréal (#MMLinMTL), spoken word artist mitcholos touchie will be encountering the space of the theatre to write, read, and perform poetry. The work will also showcase a community stage with access to open mics, as well as performances by guest poets Anomaly, Kym Dominique-Ferguson the Born Jamhaitiandian, David Leduc, B.A. Markus, and Isabelle St-Pierre.
This project is informed by the artist’s long-time implication in Indigenous resistance – on and off-reserve – a conviction he brings to his involvement with Vancouver’s slam and storytelling communities, both as a performer and as a facilitator.
