10 years ago, a unique space opened in Montreal with an avant-gardist vision of what the cultural scene of this cosmopolitan city should reflect. Showing great leadership, Montreal, arts interculturels , commonly known as the MAI, promoted the renewal of art practices, while focusing on interculturalism as a basis for connecting all communities. Each year since then, the MAI has provided over one hundred artists with a space to experiment, reflect, create, present, and exchange. This 10^th anniversary bears witness to our success and expertise in promoting diversity in the arts. Not content to rest on our laurels however , we continue to work towards even greater recognition and inclusion of these new forms, aesthetics, ideas, and expressions stemming from cultural diversity.

This 10^th season promises to be a true celebration of cross-culturalism and our pluralist society, with a variety of events and activities in the visual and performing arts. For this occasion, music will be in the spotlight, with a series of 10 concerts in celebration of our 10 years in the service of artists! 10 years of dialogue with the world! 10 years of crossing boundaries together!
