Ask yourself, is it more difficult to imagine a young black man in a bowling alley or is it easier to imagine him on a basketball court? Black Theatre Workshop invites you to ponder this conundrum at the World Premiere of Vadney S. Haynes’ new play, Blacks Don’t Bowl, a funny but serious look at the structures and strictures of identity, and all representations conveyed by stereotypes. A major reflection on the importance of image and identity for everyone… without distinction.
