Fariba Samsami invites the public to interact with her installations through the use of new technologies. With Interactive Translocation, one of the exhibition’s two works, visitors can insert themselves, via a touch screen, into various street scenes in Montreal and Teheran, and effectively get close to the featured characters. In Reframing, Samsami offers viewers the virtual experience of wearing a chador while they watch a video of a demonstration of veiled women.
