The MAI is seeking proposals from culturally diverse performers whose stage is often situated on the inside of a metro station or outside on the corner of a street or in a public park. Deadline May 1st.
For the second conference, the MAI reroutes the discussion to address the social meanings attached to skin color. Join us for a riveting discussion on the blanketing subject of skin and on its social and political permutations… structural racism, pigmentocracy, shadeism, racial classification (one-drop rule), whiteness, color line, and the unfortunate use of black-face in contemporary society.
